DELIVERY APPROACH
A technology project delivery process with clear decisions.
A project moves forward when the right questions have been answered—not when a stage label changes. 48PEGASUS connects requirements, implementation and acceptance so each decision has an owner and each delivered component has a purpose.
The depth of work depends on the system and its consequences. A small content site and an integrated operational application do not need identical documentation, but both need a defined outcome, workable boundaries and an accountable handover.
Discovery turns a broad objective into testable requirements.
Begin with the current process, representative records, users and constraints. Identify the operational problem and the evidence that would show it has been addressed. Separate mandatory requirements from preferences and later opportunities.
The output is a usable scope basis: workflow, priorities, assumptions, exclusions and acceptance examples. The client's decision owner resolves conflicting needs before they become contradictory implementation instructions.
Architecture makes records and integration boundaries explicit.
Determine which system owns each record, how information moves and who is permitted to act. Evaluate supported interfaces, account control and failure handling before committing to a connection between tools.
The output identifies components, data flows, permissions and material dependencies. A critical interface may need a focused technical check before the rest of the design can be accepted.
Development and validation stay connected.
Implement a bounded working path, review it with representative inputs and test it against agreed behavior. Extend that path only after its records, controls and handoffs are understood. Track changes so new requests do not silently redefine acceptance.
The output includes the implementation and evidence from the agreed checks. Open defects, deferred requests and known limitations remain distinct. The authorized approver decides whether the result satisfies the acceptance criteria.
Deployment includes release decisions and operational handover.
Prepare the target environment, required access, configuration and any agreed migration. Identify release approval and recovery conditions. Confirm the critical workflow in the intended environment rather than assuming a development demonstration proves operational readiness.
Handover provides the materials and access needed for the scoped operating responsibilities. Identify who maintains users, handles exceptions and receives future issues. Continuing maintenance is a separate agreed responsibility, not an automatic consequence of launch.
Keep decisions close to the people who can authorize them.
The client provides accurate process information, appropriate access and an authorized decision owner. Delivery work makes technical options, dependencies and findings visible. Users contribute representative cases and practical feedback; they are not a substitute for final approval authority.
Changes are assessed against their effect on records, integrations, acceptance and delivery scope. A request can be valuable without belonging in the current release. Record the decision so later work starts from an intelligible baseline.
Choose the continuing work deliberately.
Must every project follow the same sequence?
No. Existing requirements or systems may allow some work to be reused, and a technical unknown may need investigation early. The decisions still need to be resolved; changing the sequence does not remove them.
The appropriate outcome may be a smaller scope, use of an existing tool or a decision not to proceed. Work must address a legitimate need and offer a responsible basis for delivery; commercial opportunity alone is not sufficient.
What happens if discovery shows the project is not suitable?
Describe the problem, people affected, existing tools and desired outcome. Include constraints that materially affect feasibility. Do not send credentials or sensitive production records in an ordinary inquiry.
